Empowered
You have more power in God than you think you have! If you have been filled with the Holy Ghost you have been empowered by Jesus Christ and have unlimited power to do great things for God. Perhaps this comes as a revelation to you… a revelation of not just who Jesus Christ is, but a revelation of who you are in Jesus Christ!
I particularly appreciate what Jesus promised His followers: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). What Jesus was in fact saying is that the power I give you ‘trumps’ each and every power the enemy possesses.
It is my contention that many Spirit-filled believers are exercising minimal authority in the Spirit realm, while Satan is exercising maximum authority. He is ‘throwing everything including the kitchen sink at the Church’ and unless we utilize the power within us we will not accomplish God’s will in these last days.
Jesus has all the power! “And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18). In the Great Commission Jesus promised the following to believers: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” (Mark 16:15-20).
We understand the Holy Ghost is the power! “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). It’s time the Church utilizes the power within to overcome the world. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Phil 4:13). “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (I John 4:4).
You have more power in God than you think you have! You must exercise your rights as an empowered, Spirit-filled child of God by taking spiritual authority and dominion in order to overcome the enemy. If not, start today! “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn….” (Isaiah 54:17).
